We learned this morning that President Trump and First Lady Melania Trump have tested positive for the coronavirus. Diane wishes them a speedy recovery. And we’ll certainly continue to follow that story.

For today’s podcast: Diane spoke with the New Yorker’s Susan Glasser and her husband, Peter Baker, chief White House correspondent for the New York Times, about their new book, “The Man Who Ran Washington: The Life And Times Of James A. Baker III.”

Baker served as Secretary of the U.S. Treasury, U.S. Secretary of State, and White House chief of staff, twice, first under President Reagan, then under President George H.W. Bush.

Diane asked Susan and Peter about their interest in Baker, how the GOP has transformed under Trump – and their thoughts as we head into the final month of the presidential campaign.
