Thomas Keneally , the author of “Schindler’s List” takes on the history of the Irish people. In his latest work, he explores the movements of Irish people to North America and Australia due to famine, political persecution, and other hardships. The book is called “The Great Shame and the Triumph of the Irish in the English-Speaking World” (Nan A. Talese/Doubleday).
