Diane talks with the curator of a retrospective exhibit of works by modernist painter Marsden Hartley. Hartley’s paintings include landscapes of his native Maine, scenes from his travels in the US and Europe, and his abstract "War Motif" series painted in Berlin on the eve of World War I. The exhibit opens June 7 at the Phillips Collection in Washington.
