The period between Election Day 2000 and the determination of the winner in the Presidential contest was a 36-day marathon for journalists who were in Florida and Washington, DC to cover the race. The new book Deadlock is a behind-the-scenes account of those weeks. Washington Post political reporters David von Drehle, Dan Balz, Ellen Nakashima, and Jo Becker all contributed to this book.
