A new biography of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. examines his spiritual development from cautious liberal to reluctant radical to righteous revolutionary. Author Stewart Burns examines how King’s religious beliefs intertwined with his political leadership to create a "single garment of destiny." Burns’ book is titled "To the Mountaintop: Martin Luther King Jr.’s Sacred Mission to Save America 1955-1968."
